#155 a new life

I wonder who came up with the idea to put television shows on DVDs and sell them as a series.  It was genius.

This has got to be a win for the networks and production companies.  It generates new revenue without much additional cost.  It generates new customers who watch back episodes and get hooked on the live series.

It is a win for consumers who can see shows they may have missed -- or to see shows again that they saw and loved.  All without commercial interruptions.  And at their convenience.  Does it get any better than that?

What are you doing today that may take on a new life tomorrow?  Do you offer something to your customers/clients that may be of value if it is repackaged and repeated?  We live in a world where people want what they want when they want it.  Rethink your delivery strategy to see if you can give existing content new life.  You may delight your audience by re-purposing something, and delight your reputation or revenue flow as well.
